Hi, I’m Nathalie Garcia-Reyes, LCSW
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas with experience providing individual, group, family therapy and crisis work across school-based clinics, crisis residential settings, correctional facilities and community mental health.
Throughout my work, I’ve had the opportunity to sit with people during some of their most difficult moments. I have learned that sometimes what people need most is a place where they don’t have to pretend they’re okay. It is such an honor to create and hold space for people.

Beyond the Therapy Room
Before I’m a therapist, I’m a wife, daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, friend, dog mom, cat mom.
“We didn't choose the soil we were born into, but we can choose the garden we will plant.”
- Kim Guerra
I’m a Mexican-American, born and raised in Houston, TX. Family has always been a big part of my story. I’m an eldest daughter, a big sister, a middle child, and an aunt. I’ve been the responsible one, the one who checks in, the one who remembers the little things, and sometimes the one who feels like she needs to hold everything together.
Growing up, I sometimes struggled with feeling like I fully fit in. I learned what it meant to move between different worlds, expectations, and versions of myself. Over time, I found so much comfort in genuine connection; with friends who let me be fully myself, in relationships where I could be vulnerable, and in learning that I didn't have to change pieces of myself just to belong.
I’m also someone who feels things deeply. I’m highly attuned to emotions, both my own and the people around me. I notice the little things; the shift in someone’s tone, the energy in a room, what’s being said and what’s left unsaid. I’ve come to see sensitivity not as something I need to outgrow, but as a part of me that allows me to connect deeply with others.
Outside of therapy, I love good food, meaningful conversations, laughing and crying with the people I love, and the little moments that make life feel full. In my free time, you can find me hiking through a national park with friends, running, biking, or finding any excuse to be outdoors. I also love me a good book (audiobooks absolutely count!) and hate being in a reading slump.
I’ve also been learning to make more room for creativity and embracing my inner child along the way. You might find me painting my nails, trying out new nail art designs, or simply making time for things that bring me joy. I love having little creative outlets that let me slow down, try something new, and enjoy the moment without needing to be perfect at it.
I’m still learning and growing, too. I don’t have everything figured out—and I don’t expect anyone else to.
My Approach
I believe therapy should feel like a space where you can exhale, be honest, and show up as your whole self. You don’t have to come in with the right words, a clear goal, or everything figured out. We can start wherever you are.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in curiosity. I don’t see myself as the expert on your life—you are. My role is to help you make sense of what you’ve experienced, understand the patterns that may be showing up in your life and relationships, and create space for something different.
A word that resonated with me is apapachar: offering care, comfort, and tenderness to the parts of ourselves that may have been carrying too much for too long. To me, apapachar is more than simply being kind to yourself. It’s creating space to slow down, listen to yourself, and offer yourself the same compassion you so often extend to everyone else.
Together, we may explore the parts of you that have learned to protect you, the experiences that shaped the way you see yourself and others, and the emotions that can sometimes feel difficult to understand or express. I draw from parts work and inner child healing, attachment-based therapy, CBT, and somatic approaches, tailoring our work to what feels most helpful for you.
I also believe that healing doesn’t happen in isolation. Your family, culture, relationships, identity, and the roles you’ve carried all matter. I understand that sometimes healing means honoring where you come from while also making room for who you’re becoming.
There may be tears. There may be laughter. There may be moments where something finally clicks and you think, “Oh… that makes sense.” Therapy can be deep without having to feel heavy all the time.
You don’t have to leave parts of yourself behind to heal. There is room for all of you here.
Why Sanando Juntos?
Sanando Juntos means healing together.
I chose this name because I believe healing was never meant to be something we have to do alone. So much of what shapes us happens in relationship, with our families, our communities, our cultures, and the people who have walked alongside us. I believe that healing can happen there, too.
Juntos is important to me because therapy is a collaborative process. I’m not here to tell you who you should be or what your healing should look like. We’ll make sense of your experiences together, with curiosity and compassion, while making space for the parts of you that may have felt unseen, unheard, or misunderstood.
Sanando Juntos also reflects something I deeply believe: you can honor where you come from while still choosing where you want to go. You can love your family and need boundaries. You can be grateful for your roots and still want something different. You can carry the experiences that shaped you without allowing them to define your future.
At the heart of Sanando Juntos is the belief that there should be room for all of you. your culture, your relationships, your emotions, your history, your hopes, and the parts of yourself you are still learning to understand.
Healing together. Growing together. Becoming more fully yourself.
